7.5 Contacts on Android

Install a trusted CardDAV sync adapter, such as DAVx⁵. In the Vault, open Contacts → Mobile & app connections, create a Contacts-only client password for the Android device, and copy it when displayed.

  • URL: https://dav.lightdrive.one/USERNAME/contacts/
  • Username: your full LightDrive email address
  • Password: the Contacts-only client password created for this device

Select the discovered Contacts collection, enable synchronization, and grant the adapter contacts and background permissions. The contacts then appear in Android apps that use the system contacts provider.

Choose the LightDrive account when creating a contact. A contact saved to the phone-only or Google account will not be sent to LightDrive. Your main Vault password, Vault app passwords, and Email-only passwords do not work for CardDAV.
