Books accepts PDF uploads and displays them on the ebook shelf. Select a cover to open the book.
In Books settings, Open PDFs with the ebook reader controls which viewer handles PDFs. Leave it off for the native PDF viewer. Turn it on when you prefer the ebook reader’s navigation and reading interface.
Use the download control on a shelf cover to save the original PDF. Use Edit to change its display title, author, subjects, series, collections, or cover art. Delete is intentionally inside the Edit dialog to reduce accidental removal.
A scanned PDF contains page images rather than reflowable ebook text. Font, spacing, search, and read-aloud capabilities depend on whether the PDF itself contains usable text.
